Supporting older people to stay independent and connected
When you see a little blue Enliven car in your neighbourhood, give it a wave! Our support workers and registered nurses ensure older people and their families are getting support and care to retain their independence for as long as possible.
PSEC’s services for older people include intensive home support for independent living, friendly day programmes in Havelock North, and a network of ACC-accredited strength and balance classes.
Intensive home support
Aims to restore the physical, mental and social well-being of older people so they can stay in their home for as long as possible. Friendly, trained support workers.
Day programmes
Activities, outings, exercise and companionship in in a village setting at Enliven Havelock North.
Enliven aims to make the senior years positive and empowered, an age of rich experiences and social connection. Consider a career in aged care, volunteer with us or donate to our work.
Falls are not a ‘normal’ part of ageing. Community Strength & Balance classes aim to reduce falls and fractures in people aged 65+ so they can live for longer in their own homes, on their own terms. Enliven is the East Coast’s lead agency for a fall minimisation initiative driven by ACC and the Ministry of Health.
