Awesome Result for the 2008 Real People @ Mosaic Wine Box Auction

We had a fantastic evening with an awesome result - more than $27,000 raised!

An enthusiastic crowd turned out on a cold Hawke's Bay night and made hot bids for our donated artworks.

Para Matchitt, described by an enthusiastic commentator at the auction as "The Maori Picasso" set a new record with his Black Ensemble selling for over $4000. Dick Frizzell's work again reached a high price and all works were sold to enthusiastic collectors. The support from these high calibre artists is fantastic, not only do they donate an artwork, they believe in the value of Outsider Art and the opportunity our students have at Mosaic.
